Join us as the Internal Communications Leader for the Pacific!

Are you ready to take over internal communications at Marsh McLennan in the Pacific Region, including Australia and New Zealand? We’re looking for a dynamic Internal Communications Leader who is passionate about crafting compelling narratives and driving engagement across our organisation.

In this pivotal role, you will be the heartbeat of our internal communications strategy, igniting motivation and collaboration among our colleagues. Your creativity and strategic thinking will play a crucial role in aligning our communication initiatives with Marsh McLennan’s vision and objectives, ensuring that every message resonates and inspires action.

We will count on you to:

Craft compelling strategies: Design and execute a comprehensive internal communication strategy that ensures the right messages reach the right people at the right time, amplifying our organizational goals and enhancing communication effectiveness.
Deliver town halls and leadership forums: Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of town hall meetings and leadership forums, ensuring these events are engaging, informative, and aligned with our strategic objectives.
Be the voice of leadership: Collaborate with senior executives to draft impactful messages and scripts that engage and inform colleagues, whether in writing or through presentations.
Maintain consistency: Ensure that our internal communications align seamlessly with our global and external messaging, reinforcing our brand and values.
Navigate challenges: Lead the internal communication response during crises, safeguarding our organisational reputation and perception.
Revitalise our intranet: Take charge of redeveloping and enhancing our intranet as a key tool for internal communications, working closely with our global teams to create an engaging digital space.
Drive engagement: Manage colleagues engagement initiatives that foster connection and collaboration through innovative internal communications.
Enhance feedback loops: Develop and refine the colleague feedback cycle, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.
Empower stakeholders: Keep all relevant internal stakeholders informed about content creation and optimisation strategies across various channels, including email, social media, and more.

What you need to have:

Desirable to have relevant qualifications in Journalism, Business, Communications, or Public Relations.
8+ years of experience in communications or internal communications, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies and leading a team.
A keen understanding of business strategy and key drivers, using this knowledge to inform your communications across multiple media channels.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coach and counsel managers and colleagues on effective communication practices.
