Your role as the Internal Audit Manager, you will lead internal audit and assurance services, providing high-quality support to the State Council (SC), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and State Executive Team. Reporting directly to the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) for work direction and the General Manager of Governance and Risk for daily management, you will develop and execute risk-based strategic and operational audit plans.
Lead and support the audit team, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Conduct audits and reviews of operations to assess efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness. Provide advisory services to enhance organisational performance and address operational risks.
Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for the SC, CEO, and ARC. Evaluate financial controls to ensure effective risk management. Maintain the Internal Audit Charter and collaborate with external auditors.
Qualifications & experience to succeed in this role, you will bring Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or a related discipline. Membership with a recognised accounting body (CPA Australia or CAANZ). Professional membership or eligibility with the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia.
Proven experience in effective business communication, objective reporting, and conflict management. A commitment to upholding the mission and values of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
