About the role purpose To support the Tamaki Makaurau District Command Centre, add value to frontline deployment and manage information flow of the Tamaki Makaurau Intelligence mailbox.

The Tamaki Makaurau Intelligence Unit Real Time team is a dedicated team who provides intel support to Tamaki Makaurau DCC. Identifying opportunities and risks to the organisation and recognising opportunities through scanning open/close sources to optimise the deployment model. The team will provide advice and support on how to utilise intelligence services to enable better decision-making advantage.

As an Intelligence Support Officer, you will be involved in informing decision makers, leading to safer communities across Tamaki Makaurau. You will do this by scanning both internal and external sources of information, collating and interpreting data, preparing nationally standardised intelligence products that inform and support prevention, intervention and enforcement activities.

Key Accountabilities TMDCC intel support. Providing staff safety awareness to frontline staff through FLINTs, FRISKs. Management of TM Intel inbox. Requests for Information/Project Seraph (Custom requests). Demonstrate a good understanding of the New Zealand Police 'Our Business' Strategy and the role Police Intelligence plays in it.

Demonstrate strong skills navigating Microsoft office applications and Police systems. Demonstrate your ability to maintain your quality of work under pressure maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrate your intelligence and information management support to major incidents. Contribute to an inclusive team environment.
