Intelligence Analyst New Zealand Police location Waikato.

The Waikato District Intelligence Unit based in Hamilton has a vacancy for an Intelligence analyst/trainee. The purpose of the role is to contribute to crime and crash reduction and the prevention and disruption of criminal activity by preparing nationally-standardised intelligence products that inform and support prevention, intervention and enforcement activities. The role within our organisation is to lead the activities for Our Business and enable our people to deliver them.

Skills - you will be able to demonstrate analytical thinking. Apply analytical techniques to interpret information for intelligence analysis. Research, analyse, critically examine crime and criminality, and write intelligence products to assist decision makers. Manage competing demands and high workload at times and able to demonstrate an ability to execute on their purpose. Develop and maintain a wide range of positive relationships (internal and external).

Experience - you will have experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to develop a high standard of reports/presentations. Experience in using a variety of tools and techniques to understand a problem, develop solutions and effectively influence and inform decision-making. Experience presenting (written and verbal) complex issues clearly to a range of audiences.
