Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated team player to support ECU’s Legal and Integrity Team by providing high quality administrative support for all operations, manage information and implement process improvements. Legal and Integrity is one of five functional areas within Strategic and Governance Services and provides comprehensive advice on University legal, compliance and integrity related matters. Matters that relate to dispute resolution, student appeals, complaints (public and student), integrity and internal investigative services are provided from within this area.
The Role
This role is responsible for coordinating and assisting with all aspects of complaints (public and student), investigations relating to integrity at the University, including staff and student misconduct, the student appeals process, and producing a range of reports presenting insights drawn from individual case management and analysis of outcomes over time.
This role involves a range of administrative responsibilities to ensure student and staff integrity at the University, including:
Assisting in resolving complaints from students and the public.
Providing guidance on compliance with internal misconduct and integrity policies, such as those related to sexual harm, conflicts of interest, gifts, and fraud.
Helping with investigations related to staff and student conduct and integrity.
Supporting other Strategic and Governance Services members or committees, including serving as an adviser to the Student Appeals Committee or other University areas.
This role will also help develop and produce reports that present insights from individual case management and analyse outcomes over time.
The ideal candidate will have:
Familiarity with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements related to integrity, student and staff conduct, and complaints.
Experience in complaint management, dispute resolution, investigations, and legislative compliance, preferably in a university environment.
Competence in data analysis using various tools and in preparing reports for different purposes and audiences.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, with a creative and innovative approach to developing solutions and identifying risks.

This full time, Ongoing position attracts remuneration of $92,087 to $ 99,353 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
