We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Injury Management Advisor to provide all aspects of injury management services to WA Health employees at FSH. Working as part of the Human Resources Management Services (HRMS) team, you will work with other Injury Management Advisors, reporting to the WHS & Wellbeing Manager. With a strong customer focus, you will liaise with external medical and allied health providers to progress return to work arrangements while supporting the injured worker and assisting the manager for a positive outcome.

As an Injury Management Advisor, you are an experienced, customer focused individual with a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, who prides yourself on your ability to promote successful injury management strategies. You will provide high quality and professional service through positive working relationships with injured workers and other key stakeholders. You are self-motivated and determined to achieve successful outcomes at FSH for all employees and have the ability to organise and prioritise workload. You are a respectful and professional individual who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do.

As an Injury Management Advisor in the WHS and Wellbeing team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Providing effective, timely and comprehensive injury management services to staff with work/non-work related injuries/illnesses

Undertaking early intervention initiatives to minimise the severity of work related injuries

Supporting managers and their employees through the injury management process

Developing, monitoring and reviewing return to work programs for work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses

Consulting with key stakeholders ensuring employees are returned to work in the earliest possible timeframe

Providing advice and support regarding reasonable adjustments for people with disabilities

Ensuring legislative requirements related to workers’ compensation and injury management are adhered to

Attending case conferences and claim review meetings

Tertiary level qualification in a related injury management field (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling)

An extensive understanding of Injury Management within a complex health service organisation

Extensive knowledge of statutory Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management legislation

An ability to work in an effective partnership, autonomously and within a team environment

Highly effective written and note/record keeping skills, strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, injury management databases)

The ability to communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service
