In Class Teacher Aide St Rita's College location Brisbane. 35 hours per week, continuing position.

Applications are invited for the term-time position of Diverse Learners Teacher Aide to commence Semester 2. The position works within a team of five staff who support teachers to enhance outcomes for students requiring extension and those with diagnosed learning difficulties. Regular working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm with school holidays off.

What you'll be doing working with students individually or in small groups within the classroom. Providing pastoral and academic support that encourages the development of student skills and independence.

Liaising with student families and case managers with regard to action plans and outcomes Providing feedback to teaching staff to assist with student evaluation processes. Maintenance of daily records for NCCD evidence.

About you, we are looking for people with a certificate Level in Educational Support or equivalent qualifications. Well-developed research skills through the use of technology. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diverse learning needs programs for upper primary and secondary school students.

Demonstrated experience in providing In Class Teacher-Aide support to a secondary school diverse learning needs program. Effective communication and high level of interpersonal skills. High level organisational and planning skills. Ability to show initiative and work as a team member. Experience in providing literacy, numeracy and IT support to secondary school students.
