Description

ICT Support Officers Australian Federal Police location Melbourne. Salary $74,673.00 - $87,783.00 per annum. Applications are invited from suitably qualified people who are interested in an appointment to the AFP. The mission of the AFP is to provide dynamic and effective law enforcement to the people of Australia. It provides policing throughout Australia in relation to the prevention and detection of crimes against the Commonwealth, its laws and integrity, and community police services to the Community of the ACT. ICT Support Officers and Desktop & Mobility Support Officers are responsible for providing high quality services and technical advice and support for a team of professionals within an AFP business area. The successful applicants will also work closely with stakeholders to ensure AFP systems serve the strategic and operational needs of the AFP.

Your duties will include actioning enquiries, incidents and requests from users of AFP ICT and sensitive network systems, using service and request management tools for ticketing and job queue management, troubleshooting reported issues (Windows 10, Desktop, Microsoft systems and applications) utilising Windows, Active Directory, SCCM, MS Office and Exchange, showing a dedication to service delivery excellence through ongoing commitment to improving the ICT support team, producing and updating standard operating procedures, quick reference guides and knowledge base articles.

Essential requirements, skills or experience minimum 12 months experience in a like or related field, formal IT qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise, knowledge of Windows 10 desktop administration, Microsoft systems and tools (including Windows, Active Directory, SCCM, MS Office and Exchange), problem solving skills to be able to investigate and resolve user issues, communication skills to be able to liaise with business users.

SFIA (v.7) skills relevant to this role Customer service support Level 3, Applications Support Level 3, Incident Management Level 3, IT Infrastructure Level 2, Network Support Level 2.

Eligibility to be eligible you must be an australian citizen, this position requires the successful candidate to obtain a negative vetting 1 security clearance.

Additional Information national travel may be required, applicants may be required to work outside normal business hours and be rostered to provide out of hours on-call support, the majority of ICT Support vacancies will be Canberra based with potential vacancies in other capital cities, this recruitment is being used to create a pool for existing and future vacancies that may arise nationally over the next 12 months.
