About the role
As an I.T. Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex technology projects that drive innovation and enhance the Council's digital and technology capabilities. We are looking for someone who has experience in managing a variety of application and technical projects, collaborating with business stakeholders and system vendors, to deliver high quality solutions for the organisation. We have been running a successful IT delivery program, establishing trust with our governance bodies and helping to introduce a positive change in Council’s delivery of an improved customer and staff experience. You will be part of a great team culture where we support each other to succeed. We provide development support on the job, training opportunities in line with your development plan and opportunities to network and develop through the Local Government Association.

This is a temporary full-time role based at our Civic Centre in Wantirna South, Victoria. While we support hybrid working, the successful candidate will be required to attend our office at least 3 days per week or as needed to ensure project success.
This is a Band 7 classified role, remuneration will $107,507.54 -$120,572.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

Demonstrated end to end project management experience across a multi-functional business.
Exceptional verbal and report writing skills, including procedures documentation and presentation experience.
Proven ability to motivate and influence an environment that fosters the use of technological advancement to meet business value and customer needs.
Demonstrated understanding of financial and strategic planning.
As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration with a united teamwork approach to service development, problem solving and project delivery.
Demonstrated ability in driving customer focused excellence by working in collaboration with customers and taking responsibility to meet customer’s needs.
