The role we are currently seeking an experienced “HST Administrator” at Vulcan Mine. This is an exciting time to join our team and represent Vitrinite at the front line. We are growing rapidly and are transitioning from explorer to miner. The Vulcan Mine is located centrally between Dysart and Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.
This is a residential role and offers a significant opportunity to support the mine operational team. Reporting to the site HST Manager, you will play a key role in helping our Workplace Health and Safety department managing and maintaining safety compliance records, assisting in safety training coordination, and contributing to our safety culture. Roster the position will be offered on a 9-day fortnight Monday-Friday roster (7:00 am – 5:00 pm).
Key responsibilities support in assisting with the development of safety policies and procedures. Ability to adapt to change and work within a fast-paced environment. Prepare reports and presentations on safety-related topics. Assist in the creation, organisation, and maintenance of safety documentation and records.
Scheduling safety training sessions and maintain training records. Help investigate and document workplace incidents and near-misses. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
About the candidate you are an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You are comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders and personnel, have good organisational skills and are willing to adapt to a fast-paced environment. You should live in the Moranbah-Dysart area or be prepared to relocate.
This role requires minimum 2 years onsite experience working in a similar role within the mining industry. Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude to take on tasks outside of core duties. Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a safety-related capacity. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated experience dealing with confidential information; and current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11, or willing to obtain.
