HSE Manager Wiri Oil Services Ltd location Auckland.

An exciting opportunity exists for someone to join the company that fuels the upper half of the North Island. Wiri Oil Services Ltd (WOSL) is located in south Auckland and manages the storage and distribution of fuel to retail networks and industry across Auckland, Northland and Waikato, and to Auckland International Airport.

The HSE Manager promotes and champions a culture of HSE excellence across all WOSL’s business and operations, leading the focus on both personal and process safety to ensure WOSL meets or exceeds all HSE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include manage and oversee HSE Management System. Lead the focus on both personal and process safety, including the Process Safety Management System. Ensure WOSL meets or exceeds regulatory requirements including maintaining Wiri Terminal (major hazard facility upper tier) Safety Case and Marsden Point Terminal (major hazard facility lower tier) Major Accident Prevention Policy (MAPP). Manage and maintain WOSL’s Environmental Management Plan. Oversee and manage the Permit to Work system. Maintain WOSL’s Hazard Register and take a lead role in incident investigations.

We are looking for someone who has proven experience in an HSE management role, preferably in a large plant environment or involving hazardous/dangerous goods.  You will have a thorough understanding of HSE best practice, including process safety principles and methodologies. Experience in a major hazard facility environment and an understanding of regulatory requirements would be an advantage.
