The Consulate General of the United States of America in Auckland is seeking an experienced and efficient professional for the position of Housing Coordinator.  If you are committed to customer service and have the willingness and capability for working with a wide range of people, then this position is for you.

The Housing Coordinator will be responsible for delivering comfortable, safe, secure, and policy-compliant housing to U.S. Consulate Auckland’s housing pool customers. This entails inspecting and determining suitability of new leases to be added to the house pool, liaising with landlords or realtors on resolving maintenance requests lodged by occupants, coordinating the housing board meetings and preparing monthly reports.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a customer facing role that includes managing logistics, real estate, marketing, sales, or a customer-oriented business. You will have an understanding and awareness of housing issues, policies and adopt an innovative approach to problem solving. Extensive knowledge and familiarity with Auckland area is required.

The ability to work with a variety of people tactfully, establish good relationships with customers, colleagues and staff from partner organizations is also crucial to this role. The candidate must be competent in MS Office Programs (Outlook, Word and Excel) and have a valid NZ driver’s license.

The salary range for this position is NZ$ 84,305-113,804 per annum. Actual starting salary will be commensurate with experience and internal equities.
