Heatpump installer WEC New Zealand Ltd location Bay of Plenty. $28 – $35 per hour.

We are a long established electrical company delivering electrical services to industrial, commercial and domestic customers in and around Whakatane in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Due to a steadily increasing workload we are seeking to employ an Electrical Trades Assistant / Heatpump Installer / Test and Tag service person.

Extensive training will be given to right candidate to become an accredited heat pump installer and Appliance test and tag service person.

The role covers a range of responsibilities and tasks including but not limited to installation and servicing of heat pumps / air-conditioning units. Assisting with appliance testing and certification. Assisting registered electricians at domestic, commercial and industrial sites.

The successful candidate must have the following attributes be self-managed and motivated with excellent time-keeping skills. A team member and confident to work alongside other tradesmen. Understand safety requirements and maintain a safe work environment. Deal with customers in a friendly professional manner.

Ability to complete paperwork in a timely manner. Minimum of NCEA Level 2. Basic Hand Tools Skills (or competencies). A Full NZ Drivers Licence, Reliability. Good work ethic. Passion for the industry. Full training will be provided along with qualifications relevant to this role.
