Description
Fantastic opportunity for a new ECT who is looking to grow and develop into a leadership role within early childhood education.
Our client is an award winning childcare provider, with centres throughout Auckland, and are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for Tamariki to grow, learn and thrive.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for not only providing high quality care and education to young children, but also for leading and mentoring a team of educators in our toddler room.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and implementation of New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum and creating learning programmes for children
Provide high quality care and education to infants and toddlers, focusing on their developmental needs and routines
Mentoring educators and supporting staff with curriculum development and compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
Leading team meetings and professional development activities to enhance quality of practices
Qualifications and Skills
Early Childhood Education/Primary Teaching Diploma or Degree or equivalent qualification (required)
Current NZ teacher registration
Proven leadership experience in a childcare setting (ideally with under 2’s)
Strong understanding of Te Whāriki
Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
