Western Institute of Technology (WITT), Te Kura Matatini o Taranaki, is the largest tertiary education provider in Taranaki. With semester two just around the corner, we’re seeking applications talented people to teach on our Hairdressing Level 3 (Salon Skills) programme being taught at Ataahua Training Salon in Hawera. This position is based at our Hawera Campus and is a full time, 12 month fixed term role.

If you can tick the following boxes, we'd love to hear from you hold a current Diploma or Certificate in Hairdressing. Varied national or international hairdressing industry experiences. An interest or previous experience in adult tertiary education. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people. Excellent written and oral communications skills will be vital.

A tidy and professional appearance will be required at all times. Be prepared to learn new technologies in teaching and learning. Previous academic experience would be an advantage. We'd also love to see applications from those currently working in industry who would like to begin an academic career.
