Guest Services Host Auckland Airport location Auckland.

The Guest Services Host role exists to provide an exceptional customer experience through the delivery of our Guest Promise and Service Principles for all guests, visitors, contractors, and business partners operating from or using the airport terminals and surrounds.

Grounded in the concept of Manaakitanga, the Customer Service Hosts work alongside other front-line teams to ensure all customers and visitors to Auckland Airport are shown respect, welcomed, and treated with kindness. This is achieved by ensuring all team members have an understanding and delivery of Auckland Airport’s Guest Promise and Principles, our Health & Safety protocols and Airport Policies and Processes.

Whilst no two days will be the same, the role is expected to care about our customers and be sure every customer leaves wanting to come back. This means we find solutions for our customers and we communicate with confidence. Provide a safe environment for everyone at Auckland Airport, which will mean reporting lost and found items, following security protocols regarding unattended bags as well as helping our teams always ensure the safe use of our buildings.

We assist with the presentation of our terminal facilities. This includes proudly walking through the terminals making sure all facilities are hygienic, clean, and safe to use. Airports can often be stressful for those travelling, so we work hard to help our customers feel relaxed. We aim to create an experience that is positive, reassuring, and respectful.

We assist with daily operational requirements, especially in the event of disrupts, always ensuring that our customers come first, and they have access to information which will allow them to make informed decisions. This role requires you to work six days on, three days off rotational roster with shifts of 7.5 hours per day. The working day is from 04h00 to 01h30, so you will need to be able to work these hours, have reliable transport and a full driver’s licence to apply.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience working in front line customer service environments such as retail, events, transport hubs. A customer service ethos where your initiative and can-do attitude is on display. A highly motivated, lively, and outgoing personality with a very positive outlook. Being passionate about delivering a customer focussed service. Current full driver’s license and reliable transport.

Physically fit (ability to lift luggage of +20kgs) and able to stand for seven+ hour shifts. Ability to use electronic resources such as tablets and mobile technology. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as an individual and as a team player. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure. A high standard of reliability and integrity.
