The York by Swiss-Belhotel is a four and a half star serviced apartment property located in the heart of Sydney CBD. Apartments accommodate up to 6 guests featuring full kitchens, laundry facilities and open air balconies. The building also offers guests, a heated outdoor swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym- making it the perfect destination for business and leisure stays and a great place to work.
Guest service agents at The York by Swiss-Belhotel are the first point of contact for our guests when they arrive at the property. A successful guest service agent has the ability to create a warm and accommodating atmosphere where guests will feel welcomed and valued. They are approachable so guests feel comfortable if they need to seek assistance however a successful guest service agent will anticipate the needs of guests and always strive to exceed their expectations.
They are knowledgeable on the surrounding area, local services and events to ensure guests have the best possible experience during their stay. Guest Service Agents are responsible forgreeting and assisting guests face to face and by phone or email. Making and amending guest reservations. Processing arrivals and departures and maintaining guest accounts. Administration duties required to maintain guest profiles and booking information. Cashier processing including the balancing of shift takings and basic reporting and calculations.
Favourable applicants will have Customer Service experience- preferably six months experience working in a hotel front office. Cash handling skills- minimum 6 months experience operating and balancing a cash till.
Assisting with guest luggage. Property Management Software experience- preferably with RoomMaster. Excellent written and verbal English skills- the ability to speak a second language is beneficial. An Australian citizen or a work permit for at least 12 months- documentation required for verification. The flexibility to work on a 7 day rotating roster with shifts ranging from 6am-11pm. Good grooming is essential.
