Description

As a Group Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting Service Stream’s statutory and special purpose financial reporting obligations. This mid-level role requires strong technical accounting expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to partner with corporate cost centre managers to deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting across the business.

You’ll be part of a high-performing finance team based out of our Melbourne office (Docklands), with hybrid working arrangements available for a minimum of three days per week onsite.

Please note this is a permanent full-time position.
About the Role
Assist in the preparation of monthly, interim, and annual statutory financial statements for Service Stream Group.
Support the coordination of interim and year-end audit processes, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of Audit and Risk Committee papers and technical accounting documentation.
Lead or assist in special purpose reporting and compliance for subsidiaries and joint ventures.
Prepare monthly consolidated balance sheets and perform analytical reviews of key accounts.
Identify and implement process improvements based on audit feedback and business needs.
Participate in finance projects including ASRS implementation, taxation, treasury, and internal audit.
Act as a Finance Business Partner for Commercial, Business Development, and HSE cost centres.
Deliver monthly management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned cost centres.
Collaborate with cost centre managers to provide financial insights and drive process improvements.
Skills and experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant finance experience.
CPA / CA qualified or equivalent (desirable).
Strong experience in general ledger review, account reconciliation, and variance analysis.
High numeracy skills and ability to manage large volumes of data.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Flexible and responsive to change, with excellent time management skills.
