Company overview pr Packaging is a leading importer of specialty packaging, serving a diverse clientele with innovative solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an energetic and driven Graphic Designer to become an integral part of our dynamic team.
Position overview as a Graphic Designer specializing in packaging, you will be responsible for creating visually striking and functional packaging designs that enhance our products and align with our brand identity.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and manufacturing, to ensure that your designs meet both aesthetic and practical requirements. The position is on site at our Reservoir office, with an option for a 4 or 5 day week.
Key responsibilities create and refine packaging concepts from initial sketches to final production-ready files. Work closely with the sales and product development teams to understand product requirements. Prepare mock-ups and prototypes to visualise design concepts and gather feedback.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budget constraints. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative ideas into your designs. Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and team members.
Coordinate with printers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality production and resolution of any design issues. Photography of products as needed for promotions and our website. Assist in our website development to provide photography and media as needed.
Qualifications and Skills: Our ideal candidate possesses Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. Experience in packaging design is preferred, but we will also consider a recent graduate, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of packaging projects. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Understanding of packaging materials, processes, and printing techniques. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
