Graduate Civil Engineer Hays Engineering location Melbourne, Northern Suburbs. Government organisation is looking for graduate drainage engineer to work in a growing council. Your new company this vibrant municipality based in north melbourne is currently seeking a graduate drainage engineer to join their team due to a secondment in their team. It is an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of extension. Your new role on starting this role you will carry out investigations on drainage issues and deal with the community. You will also check plans in relation to drainage aspects and meet with residents as necessary. You will also be responsible for checking plans and onsite stormwater detention work; there may also be the need to carry out some GIS mapping. What you'll need to succeed as a qualified civil engineer you will have completed either a previous role or internship/work experience within a local council, ideally within the Drainage and Development areas. Your written & verbal communication skills will be clear and concise and you will be comfortable dealing with residents.
