PKW are seeking exceptional applicants for a newly established executive role to successfully lead and lift the profitability and performance of a diverse land and property portfolio. The General Manager Property will drive the strategic leadership of PKW’s land and property planning, develop robust business cases to innovate and develop the portfolio, lead property negotiations to ensure the strategy is realised, and operationalise the strategy to execute the plans.

Alongside development initiatives, the successful applicant will be responsible for the crucial work of managing the existing portfolio, ensuring completion of rural, commercial and residential property valuations and oversight and management of the rental review process.

Key responsibilities of the General Manager Property include strategic property group leadership. Strategic land and property management planning. Land and property innovation and development. Land and property portfolio management (including corpus land, commercial and residential property). Land and property valuation and rent reviews. In-house expertise on Māori Land Legislation.

Property Group Operational management. Team Management (People empowerment and development). Health & Safety leadership. Relationship/Stakeholder Management. Organisational responsibilities.

This is an executive leadership position reporting to the CEO.  The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in property development and management, understanding the valuing of rural land, managing and developing property and land-based assets and be comfortable working with agri-based assets and Maori Land. A tertiary qualification is expected, ideally in a commerce, business or property related field.
