About the role this permanent part-time position (35 hours per week) forms part of the Facilities and Services team under the direction of the Manager - Facilities Strategy, Services and Operations. The General Hand works with this team, other school staff and contractors to ensure that the best outcomes for the College are achieved.

Duties and responsibilities assist with general maintenance across the College. Assist with maintenance of the pool. Set up and pack up of events. Assist with gardening. Assist with school holiday projects. Be available for weekend work. Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Manager - Facilities Strategy, Services and Operations.

The General Hand should have experience with minor maintenance projects. Operation of relevant equipment. Experience in maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment. Prior experience in a school is not essential but highly regarded.

Qualifications a trades background and / or prior work experience which will facilitate competency in the position
