To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following criteria must demonstrate a caring nature. Must be able to show empathy towards grieving members of families. Must present a mature and responsible attitude. Must have the ability to work with grieving members of the public. Demonstrate basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Be able to be organised and able to meet deadlines. Must be free from any medical conditions – musculoskeletal disorders that would present a risk to the individual, workers or clients when lifting bodies, coffins and industry related equipment. Must be free from any psychological conditions that would present a risk to the individual, other worker or clients when dealing with grief or bereaving families.
Committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face. Knowledge of burial practices and customs: the ability to possess a base-level knowledge of current burial practices and customs. Experience in a mortuary setting, including the preparation of bodies. Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner. Willingness to assist and support others as required. Accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
Note demonstrated experience in a similar industry or the ability to clearly demonstrate transferable skills from another industry will be considered. You will be required to participate in a shared after hour's roster, including weekends and the successful applicant will need to consent to a police check being conducted.
