A neighbourhood pub originally built in 1906. The Oxford Hotel underwent renovations to lovingly restore the historic beauty of the Leederville favourite. We pride ourselves on offering a relaxed family friendly dining experience, quality drinks and impeccable service.

Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner on the ground floor, and with purpose-built facilities upstairs catering for a large number of weddings and corporate functions.

The Oxford Hotel, with its multiple function areas and functions packages, prides itself on being one of Perth's premier function venues. We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic, full time Events Coordinator to oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring seamless experiences for all clients.

You will have proven knowledge of food and beverage along with the confidence and ability to make recommendations, welcome and interact with guests, and create a truly memorable experience. A passion for hospitality, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and commitment to delivering superior customer service and attention to detail are minimum requirements for this role. This role will also include FOH duties in the daily operations.

About the role coordinating all facets of functions and weddings. Meeting and communicating with clients, ensuring their requirements are met. Final detail meetings and preparing event orders. Liaise with the client to confirm requirements in a timely and professional manner.

Event set up including furnishing, AV and sound system, execution of event and end of event hand overs with duty manager. Address and resolve any issues or emergencies during events. Attend relevant sales and operational meetings.

Liaise with Hotel Manager and Head Chef to ensure delivery of staffing requirements. Respond to sales enquires via email, phone and social media platforms. Function reporting. Other ad hoc marketing duties as required. Benefits of this role include staff meals whilst on duty and free parking.

About you experience in event management or coordination with previous wedding experience. Passion for hospitality and all things functions and weddings. Can do attitude and happy to jump in and help others. An ability to build and maintain strong client relationships - you enjoy connecting with others.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Past hands-on function floor experience. Current RSA & Approved Managers Licence. Exceptional personal presentation and have a warm, personable yet professional disposition.

Strong organisational and time management skills - you will know how to prioritise and have efficient systems in place. A positive attitude - even when in a tough situation you remain positive.

The Events Coordination position is a full-time role that requires flexible and adaptable working hours including evenings, weekend and public holidays when required.
