Position Summary:

The Front-end Developer will play a key role in delivering project-focused, user-centric web applications using Angular and related frameworks as part of a collaborative team. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, accessible, and secure user interfaces that support public sector safety and justice programs. The role involves ensuring compliance with government standards and contributing to case management and business process applications, while closely coordinating with backend and DevOps teams to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

– UI Development

Design and develop visually appealing, adaptive user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript to ensure seamless experiences across devices.
Maintain and refactor existing UIs to improve performance, user engagement, and adherence to best practices in frontend architecture.
– Integration:

Implement secure and efficient data communication between the frontend and backend APIs, including RESTful and Azure service integrations.
Troubleshoot and optimise API requests to support robust, real-time interactions within the web application.
– Accessibility & Compliance:

Develop user interfaces that comply with WCAG guidelines, ensuring accessibility for users with diverse needs.
Apply public sector security standards and conduct regular reviews to maintain compliance with government regulations.
– Testing:

Write and maintain automated UI test scripts to validate new features and detect regressions early in the development cycle.
Conduct manual exploratory testing to identify usability or accessibility issues and ensure a high-quality user experience.
– Project Collaboration:

Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to support team alignment and progress.
Work closely with designers, backend developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver integrated solutions and achieve project milestones.
– Required Skills & Experience:

Mandatory

Strong Angular development experience.
Knowledge of TypeScript, HTML5, Sass, Tailwind, and modern component libraries.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines.
Demonstrated ability to deliver as part of a project team using Agile methodologies.
Desirable

Experience in public sector projects.
Internal and external-facing delivery experience.
Understanding of case management workflows.
Exposure to UX best practices.
Familiarity with Storybook UI tooling.
Experience writing Selenium UI tests.
– Key Performance Indicators:

Utilisation target of 80% for direct roles
KPI’s achievable for the role that follow SMART guidelines
Complete assigned tasks/projects within agreed deadlines.
Achieve less than 2% error rate in deliverables.
Ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
Complete mandatory training within set timelines.
Submit reports and documentation accurately and on time.
