Description

Forklift Instructor ASWEFA West Auckland location Auckland.

ASWEFA Ltd are leaders in forklift training within the Auckland region. We continue to succeed and expand due to our high standard of customer service and attention to detail. This has created the opportunity to employ a new team player.

We are prepared to train someone confident and outgoing from scratch to fill this role.  You must have a good command of English and solid knowledge of forklift driving.  You can't be afraid of public speaking to small crowds.  It is important you have a strong work ethic as we are a growing company with lots of opportunity ahead. A car, tablet and uniform will be supplied for business use.

You will be required to work a roster that has been designed to give our instructors a great lifestyle/work balance. It does includes 1 full day and 1 half day on a Saturday per 4 week cycle so the successful participant needs to be able to work this. This is rewarded with a 3 day weekend every second week (standard work week 45 hours per week). Our company is team focused with an evening staff meeting followed by dinner once every 4-6 weeks which you will be expected to attend.

It is important to note that if training is not scheduled we require the successful applicant to Sales Rep, as well as Cold Call on potential customers as part of this job role. Due to this being a specialised field of work it is an opportunity for the right candidate to progress and advance in an interesting, important and fulfilling job role. As you will be registered as a Land Transport Assessor under our company applicants need to have a Full New Zealand Class 1 or 2 Drivers Licence with a clean drivers record and no criminal record as these are checked as part of the assessor application process.

It is also vital that due to our clients organising their workloads and drivers to attend training that our instructors are reliable and available for courses.  Naturally sick days or emergencies do occur and can't always be avoided, but an effort needs to be given, where possible, to attend training that is booked.  This is not a job role that fits with someone leaving early one day and making it up another day.

As our clients are varied we require someone who is a "people person" with an easy going personality and ability to liase with people from all walks of life, whilst maintaining a commitment to ensuring the right assessments are made.  Due to our drivers trusting and respecting our instructors we have managed to make a difference in a large number of companies in order to achieve optimum results. If you think you are the person we are looking for and believe in the need for all workers to come home safe at the end of each working day, then make a difference by becoming a valued part of our team.
