Job Description
Forklift Operator – Further Processing Plant (Afternoon & Night Shifts Available)

We are looking for reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join our Further Processing Plant team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for moving, loading, and unloading materials efficiently and safely, ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team that keeps Australia’s favourite poultry products moving!

Shifts Available:

Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:06pm

Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:06am

These roles have the potential to develop into leadership positions for the right candidates, with extensive training included. We're looking for individuals who have both forklift operating experience and confidence with office-based tasks or paperwork. Previous experience with RF scanners, inventory control, and dispatch will be highly regarded.

Daily Tasks:

Operating a forklift to transport raw materials and finished products within the plant

Loading and unloading trucks and storage areas safely and efficiently

Assisting with general warehouse duties as required

Maintaining accurate records of stock movement

Adhering to all workplace safety and hygiene standards

Processing and inspecting raw materials safely and systematically

Manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, and reaching

Cleaning duties and maintaining a clean workspace

Storing and maintaining materials, equipment, and tools

Ability to work in a cold environment

Identifying and escalating food safety & quality issues

Participating in safety initiatives and being a proactive team member

You Will Bring to This Role:

A current and valid forklift licence (LF/LO)

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Strong focus on safety and teamwork

Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential)

Experience with RF scanners, inventory control, and dispatch (highly regarded)

Ability to work under minimum supervision in a small team

Capability to follow procedures and policies accurately

Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written

A calm and methodical approach under pressure

Good physical fitness (manual handling 5kg–15kg)

Additional Information:

Forklift licence is essential

Monday to Friday work

Casual to start, with 38 hours per week
