Food Safety Advisor for Retail – Queensland, Northern Territory and Northern NSW
About the role:
Based in Brisbane - QLD, you will support the QLD, NT and NSW Nth regions. You will play a key role in managing food safety standards and providing specialist support across our retail stores.
Our Food Safety Advisors provide specialised support to ensure that all aspects of our Food Safety and Quality Management System are being followed and adhered to.
Food Safety Advisors work closely with their assigned regions, complete field-based store audits, ad-hoc supplier audits, support with incident investigations and continuous improvement activities.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure regulatory compliance and best practice in Food Safety
Assist in the continuous improvement of our current systems and processes
Provide expert Food Safety advice as well as plan and conduct Food Safety audits
Manage incident investigations and Food Safety complaints
Work with a range of stakeholders to manage regulator issues end-to-end
Provide trend analysis, insight and input to key reports / present at meetings for the business to make informed decisions and drive action
Utilise your strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise, coach, influence and drive change with various stakeholders
About you:
You will have a strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and store operations. As an effective communicator, you will build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. You will have a passion for continuous improvement which will support our current systems and processes. You are able to apply concepts of knowledge / skill without requiring supervision.
Key skills and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in relevant food safety discipline or extensive experience in practical food safety
A current full Australian driver’s license is required
Strong knowledge of food retail operations or the QSR industry and regulatory compliance
Experience in multi-site support
Have experience as an auditor with working knowledge of HACCP and the Food Standards Code.
