About the role we are looking for a number of kind and enthusiastic individuals to work as Process Plant Operators in our food processing environment, based in Kewdale. Work alongside our awesome team and operate and monitor our process plant, including operating electric pumps. There will be some additional general duties, including cleaning of equipment and maintaining food hygiene standards. A variety of shifts are available, on a permanent full time or part time basis, and other casual arrangements considered.

To be successful in this role, you will enjoy working as part of a team, are open to taking direction and working independently, and be physically fit. This is a new food production process plant, so training will be provided. Any previous experience in food process plant operation would be a bonus, but not essential. Job responsibilities under instruction from the Production Leading Hand, follow closely the process plant operating routine. This includes operating food manufacturing machinery. Operating electric pumps. Monitoring drying equipment. Filling tanks with liquid products. Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment, and follow all safety procedures. Reporting incidents and issues immediately.

Skills and experience willingness to learn, share skills, and happy to follow processes and instructions. Enthusiastic and positive energy, and enjoy working as part of a team. Enjoy maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Suits someone who is mechanically-minded. Must be physically fit, able to repetitively lift up to 20kg. Previous machine operating experience in a FMCG environment is a bonus, but not essential. Some basic numeracy and literacy skills required.

Work schedule immediate start available. Permanent full time or part time available (some casual work may also be considered). Variety of shifts available, including Night shifts – talk to us about what you’re looking for. Paid on an hourly rate basis; relevant penalty rates apply.
