Flight Operations Team Member Southern Lakes Helicopters Ltd location Southland. $50,000 – $60,000 per year.

We are based in Te Anau and Mt Cook and provide a variety of helicopter services such as scenic flights, commercial operations, search and rescue and assisting with scientific research, both within New Zealand and internationally for more than 40 years.
The role we are looking for an enthusiastic Flight Operations team member to join our Te Anau base. You would share responsibility for being one of the friendly faces giving our clients the best experience possible. This role would need you, the Flight Operations Team Member to live within the Te Anau basin.
You will be a key and valued member of our Southern Lakes Helicopters team, reporting to the Te Anau Manager, and will have the full support of our Te Anau base behind you.
You would be flexible and dynamic to the changing environment of our Te Anau base operations, with a strong focus on customer service.

Minimum Requirements New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Willingness and great attitude to operate as a team player. Excellent customer service skills.
Desirable experience previous experience in a similar role and general aviation interest. Knowledge and passion for Te Anau and Fiordland.
What the role entails welcoming clients, explaining our Te Anau experiences and taking payments. Invoicing through our aviation programme and importing into our accounting system. Creative logistics planning of flights. Taking clients through our safety briefing and assisting with loading/unloading of passengers and gear.
Pre-flight preparations, flight following and radio calls. Creating and managing client and agent bookings. General office duties to help keep our base organised and prepared. Maintaining accurate and complete daily and monthly operational records. Working alongside our Mt Cook base to collectively achieve our Company vision and goals.
What attributes we look for have a positive, proactive, and problem-solving attitude. A team player with a collaborative and proactive approach within a small team. Excellent planning, organising and communication skills over multiple platforms. Well-developed computer and IT skills. Have an eye for detail and ensuring completeness and accuracy with quotes, bookings and invoicing. Adaptable to changing operational demands.
