Financial Accountant AAM Investment Group location Brisbane.

AAM is a large-scale, wholly Australian-owned operator and provider of strategic investment, asset management and operational management services to Australia’s agricultural industry. Due to business growth AAM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team.

About the role as a key member of the Finance Team, you will contribute to the day-to-day finance functions across the AAM Group of entities, whilst supporting operations teams and Managers.

The role will assist in monitoring the profitability of the portfolio’s entities and contribute to the end-to-end financial functions to ensure accurate compilation of month end and other reporting data.

This will include assisting with the budgeting process, delivering insightful management reports and recommendations, and proactively identifying process improvements.

Key responsibilities include attend to financial operations including financial accounting, transaction processing, balance sheet reconciliations, financial management reporting, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.

Prepare and present individual site/entity and consolidated financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow forecast and KPI reporting, including associated written analysis required for these reports.

Work with a team of finance staff, including AP/AR, to deliver accurate financial reports. Manage the production of the annual budget, rolling forecasts and updates. Manage cash flow and monitor budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility. Intercompany accounting including reconciliations and consolidation. Preparation of BAS and other general accounting tasks.

Ideally the successful candidate will have Bachelor of Commerce plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or public practice. CA or CPA qualified, or studying towards.

Passion and interest of working in the Agriculture industry. Experience with preparation of financial statements. Experience with providing management reports, analysing profitability and progress against budget. Experience with working with operational managers to prepare budgets and other reports.
