Our client placed within the Energy Retail sector, our client is needing an astute Financial Accountant for a minimum of 18 months on a fixed-term-contract with the possibility of extension or permanency. The role reporting into the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions that ensure accurate reporting, allowing for informed decision-making that drive business objectives.

The role will include, but is not limited to leading month-end and year-end close. Reconciliations, accruals, journal entries. Overseeing Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable functions. Variance Analysis against budgets and forecasts. Collaborating with the Financial Controller to create budgets, forecasts, and models aligning with business objectives. Presenting business cases to various stakeholders. Supporting external audits. Analysis of financial performance and locating trends, risks and opportunities

About you must be CPA/CA qualified or part-qualified. Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting position. Strong verbal and written communication. Excel Proficiency. Keen eye for financial reporting and analysis.
