Financial Accountant Cutting Edge Post Pty Ltd location Brisbane.

In this role you will be responsible for the administration, accounting and tax matters for the Group. You will take ownership of the finance function and demonstrate financial leadership to key internal and parties.

Key responsibilities preparation and management of the annual Audit and Group Consolidated Financial reporting processes. Oversee the Group Taxation processes including R&D, BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT and Income Tax planning and compliance. Manage a team of two direct reports from the Accounts team and lead daily Group Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash-flow Forecasting functions.

Daily management of Group Payroll inclusive of Superannuation and WorkCover requirements. Monthly Balance Sheet and Intercompany Reconciliations. Monthly Management Reporting and Financial Analysis to improve earnings and drive greater Group profitability. Oversee the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register. Lead the Finance Team’s business partnering, support and ability to provide insights across the Group. Support the Head of Finance with Budgeting, Credit, Insurance and Legal matters.

Skills & experience CPA/CA qualified or part-qualified.   Minimum of 3 years audit, financial accounting or tax experience. Customer-service focused with an extensive history of working with both internal and external stakeholders. Proven history of working within a diverse finance role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must enjoy working as part of a team and autonomously. Demonstrated understanding of financial software and spreadsheet packages.
