Finance Manager Springboard Community Works location Auckland.

We are a registered charity and have a unique opportunity for a skilled, passionate and proficient finance professional to join us as Finance Manager who will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization and make a meaningful difference in the non-profit sector.

Springboard supports high-risk young people as they navigate their way through the challenges they face in life by providing wrap around support programmes to help pathway to better futures. Reporting to the COO, the Finance Manager will be hands-on and support a part-time Finance Administrator responsible for the day to day financial operations.

Responsibilities financial Accounting, Financial Audit, Financial Integrity, Ensure financial controls are adhered to and maintain systems sufficient to protect Springboard from financial risk or fraud, including the protection of Springboard’s assets.

Payroll, prepare annual reconciliations and reports for the auditor and manage audit interface of queries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting principles, implementing best practices and internal controls as needed.

Analyse financial performance, trends, and variances, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with senior leadership. Ensure compliance with grant requirements, government regulations, and accounting standards.

Qualifications minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably but not essential with experience within the non-profit sector. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, fund accounting, and grant management. Proficiency in financial software; advanced Excel skills required.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively. Commitment to the mission and values of the organization with a passion for social impact.
