Finance Manager Sharp and Carter Finance and Accounting Brisbane location Brisbane. $130,000 - $140,000 + Super.

The position reporting directly to the CFO you will form part of the leadership group and oversee the transactional accounting functions, month end close and financial reporting.  You will be responsible for leading a mid-sized finance team of six, driving performance to ensure deadlines are met and engage with operational stakeholders to deliver accurate financial information.  You will contribute to the profitability of the group by maintaining and implementing best practice controls and building a cohesive "one team" culture.

Key responsibilities lead and manage a mid-sized finance team which includes a mix of qualified accountants and transactional accounting support professionals. Full responsibility and ownership of month end close and relevant reporting. Maintain and implement best practice processes with up to date knowledge of accounting standards.

Coordinate and deliver business unit budgeting and planning. Identify areas for improvement and drive/implement process and system enhancements. Build a cohesive team culture in transactional processing and management accounting by implementing team initiatives to foster a positive work environment.

Skills and experience CA/CPA or equivalent qualification. Well developed people leadership abilities. Relevant experience in a senior finance related role overseeing a similar size finance team and function. Demonstrated success across improving financial reporting and controls. Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.
