Finance Manager Tennis Auckland location Auckland.

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager for one of the most recognised regional sports organisations in Auckland.

The role reporting to the CEO, in this Finance Manager role you will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day financial management of Tennis Auckland’s domestic tennis activities and facilities, as well as the most recognisable annual event in NZ’s sporting calendar, the ASB Classic.

It is a small team, so this is a “hands on” role and will be a 0.6 Full Time Equivalent role, with flexibility on the days and start/end times. While office based, the role operates across our four sites and some work from home flexibility.

Day to day you will provide full financial management support to the CEO, Department Heads, Board & Sub-Committees. Lead the annual budget process and management of the financial & statutory components of the Annual Report and Annual General Meeting. Monthly and year end financial reporting, payroll, forex and GST management.

Primary management of the business relationship with Tennis Auckland’s external auditors. Leadership in the financial management of the organization. Financial management and player prizemoney support for our yearly international tournament, the ASB Classic. Seeking someone to start as soon as possible.

About the company & culture While the Head Office is based in Parnell, we operate across 4 locations across Auckland. We are one of the most recognised regional sports organisations which runs two international tournaments a year, the Women’s and Men’s ASB Classic.

Is this you You possess extensive experience as a finance manager, with the accompanying confidentiality and discretion. You can operate in an environment with a spread of exposure across a diverse business, have strong relationship building skills working with external stakeholders and a close-knit team internally.

Hopefully you have a passion for tennis and sport and the role they play in our community with some experience in tennis too as this team are a bunch of extremely passionate people with a love for what they do.

At least 10 years’ experience in a range of finance management activities. Advanced skills in Xero, digital banking, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Positive “can do” attitude with an eagerness to take on new tasks. Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills. Pays attention to detail, commitment to timeliness and is dogged in getting things right.

How you are rewarded competitive remuneration with work from home flexibility. Salary band is $110k-$130k pro rata depending on experience. Applications close on Monday 12th June at 5pm.
