Finance Manager (CCA) Montessori Academy location Sydney, CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs. The role as finance manager for the group, you will have a hands-on role in day to day financial and management accounting, while supporting the executive management team by providing key insights and direction. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, month end, treasury, taxation, internal controls, managing the auditing process, whilst maintaining oversight over a high-performing team of accountants and senior accountants. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to maintaining the overall financial health of the organisation including the erp system, analysing and reporting actual company performance compared to budgets and business plans within a tight month end timeframe, providing monthly reporting packs in a dashboard format to the executive management team including commentary and interpreting financial information in a clear and concise manner, preparing p&l, balance sheet and cash flow projections and forecasts based on trends in the financial performance, including recommending strategies and further courses of action, reviewing, monitoring and managing the budgeting process for the group, conducting internal reviews and evaluating cost-reduction opportunities, managing the end to end audit process with external auditors overseeing taxation related matters, including income tax, bas, gst, payroll tax, including correspondence with the ato, company secretarial matters, including setup of corporations and trusts, as well as liaising with asic and / or osr as and when required, leading and mentoring the accounting and payroll teams, whilst ensuring staff are fulfilling all aspects of their job descriptions, assisting the executive management team with ad hoc related queries. To be considered for the role you must have relevant bachelor's degree along with ca or cpa qualification, a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role at an executive level, experienced leading and mentoring capability, strong experience working with board and board committee's (audit and risk), experience negotiating with suppliers/contractors/auditors at a senior level, extensive experience in forecasting, budgeting and modelling skills and experience, manage bank covenants and reporting, advanced ms office skills, especially excel, strong written and communication skills.
