Our client is a privately owned organisation with a strong presence in the mining industry. They are continuing to expand their services and have recently undergone a period of growth which has created a new role for a Finance Manager to join their team. This role will be based at their head office in Brisbane’s CBD.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the full financial function for the division. Key responsibilities will include budgeting and forecasting. Management reporting including detailed analysis. Financial reporting and end of month close. Managing contractors including claims. Project accounting. Identifying improvements in systems and processes. Leading a small team.

To be successful in this position you will be CA/CPA qualified with a background in a similar role. Mining experience is highly desirable. This person will be savvy with systems and driving process improvement initiatives and have a keen eye for detail. Moreover, you will be commercial and analytical by nature with the ability to communicate and build relationships with all levels across the organisation.
