Finance Manager The Insight Group location Sydney.

Our client is a global research organisation (25 staff), that collaborates with a range of local and global stakeholders, to promote the identification and development of complex projects around the world.  Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Finance Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and operational financial and accounting support to the organisation.

Strategically, you will be responsible for development of budgets, forecasting and analysis, as well as enabling business decisions. You will also explore options and develop recommendations to support financial decision making, aligned with the business plan. Operationally, you will develop and monitor financial reports, undertake payroll administration, manage all accounting requirements, prepare and manage banking reconciliation, balance sheet management and general ledger administration.

The key contribution of the role of Finance Manager will be the smooth running of all general finance management and problem resolution, with escalation of complex accounting requirements or unresolved problems to the Chief Operations Officer, with recommendations for resolution. You will also responsible for the management of the internal (2 people) and external Finance Team.

You will be Degree qualified in accounting, commerce or finance and have at least 5 years professional finance management (or equivalent) experience. You must have experience reporting to a Board and have experience working in a not for profit environment. Your strong financial acumen and excellent communication skills will allow you to work well in a vibrant, Agile environment.
