Finance Manager Edge Agency location Sydney.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who is not only a well-rounded accountant and hands-on with company finances but also commercially aware, and able to advise on the best strategies for business growth. Working alongside the Managing Director, the Finance Manager has overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of business and is a key advisor to the management team from their analysis of business financial performance.

The Finance Manager must have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff, working with department heads to help them plan and manage their own budgets (including importantly the management of revenue forecasting).

Responsibilities and duties form a close working relationship with the senior management team. Take overall control of the company’s finance function. Ensure that company financial systems are compliant and support current activities and future growth. Lead and develop the Assistant Accountant. Budgeting & forecasting, variance analysis and commentaries.

Ownership of the P&L, balance sheet & monthly management pack. Revenue management & driving the weekly revenue meeting. Working closely with Account Managers on job profitability & reconciliation. Assistance with all Agency/Client contracts and rate cards. Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies. Manage and process monthly payroll & maintain all records in payroll system.

Finalise annual accounts working with external accountants. Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met. Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with all external parties.

Qualifications CA or CPA qualified with 5 years accounting experience in a similar position (ideally within the marketing sector). Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies. High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
