Your opportunity this is an excellent job for someone who wants to take the lead with change, process improvements, and team management within a well-regarded, global business. The business is continuing to grow with turnover at approximately $350M which is up 50% from 2022. They have plans in place for sustainable growth of which you will play a significant part.
You'll be joining an organization that operates worldwide and you'll assume a leadership position where you'll work closely with the CFO. They have a fantastic background with a blend of Big 4 and commercial experience with an open and approachable management style. They're keen to form a partnership with you and take the business to the next level. We guarantee that you'll enjoy working with them.
You'll be responsible for managing a team of 4 direct reports; they're all operating at manager level with great experience across the business and in prior roles. Your wider finance team will be comprised of 20 professionals in total and their areas will cover Financial Accounting, Treasury, IT, Payroll, and Transactional. You'll be there to lead them and challenge them.
You will not be providing hands-on accounting support - there's no posting of journals in this role - however you will need the experience behind you to be able to review their work and identify improvements and make recommendations where applicable. In addition, you will be the focal point for queries from Group and various business partners.
An area of this role that we think you'll really like is the exposure and involvement you will get to Change Management. You will be the driving force for transformation and lead all initiatives across the business to instigate process improvements, automation, optimize processes to tighten controls, look at cost saving initiatives, and partner with multiple functions of the wider business to streamline processes.
The business is keen to continue their development and your experience will be crucial to their continued growth. This is a position that will put you front and center of all business operations and provide you with a panoramic view of how a large, global entity operates. On offer is an attractive base salary, a bonus, and a car park.
Who You are it goes without saying that you must be a fully qualified accountant, but there is a lot more than just your qualifications that will see you succeed in this role. We need you to have strong experience within Finance where you have developed your technical and leadership skills.
You will have prior experience in leading change and transformation initiatives, be the person who can raise the bar and bring fresh ideas to an already successful business. You'll be able to think bigger picture and outside of Australia.
You will be a Business Partner - someone who enjoys developing relationships and be an experienced team leader. This role is for a team player who wants to lead, not just manage. This is the ideal role for someone who has previous experience of leading teams and running an Accounts Department along with the gravitas to manage senior people who have a strong background themselves; this is not a position for someone wanting to take their first step into team management.
You might be the CFO of a smaller business looking to step into a larger business or an established Financial Controller that is stepping up. Alternatively, you might already be operating as a Finance Director or a 2IC.
A quick summary of who you are you're a fully qualified accountant. You have strong team management experience. You're a natural Business Partner. You have strong experience of leading Change & Transformation initiatives. You have a solid understanding and background with Finance.
