The opportunities based at our head office in Parnell, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our diverse and friendly team. This role will support a growing business and the preferred candidate will be a team player who will work flexibly across all Finance functions with a good knowledge of Excel and a focus on continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for managing the day to day relationship with suppliers and customers in relation to invoicing, receipting and controlling the account payables and receivables ledgers for ProCare Group - specialising in the finances for general practices. The role may also be involved with assisting Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, IRD compliance (GST/FBT) and other ad hoc tasks as required, including maintaining the internal control systems that safeguards the assets and financial information of ProCare.

Key skills relevant education or qualification in accountancy and finance are an advantage. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in finance or bookkeeping is preferred. Medium to advanced level of Excel skills. Knowledge of general accounting procedures/principles. Knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Experience with accounting software systems.

Knowledge of compliance requirements (IRD rules, tax and audit). A desire to understand and appreciate Te Tiriti o Waitangi and it's application to ProCare and how it shapes our efforts. A passion for playing a part in improving population and whanau health across Tamaki Makaurau.
