Description

Finance Assistant Clayton Utz location Sydney, CBD, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs. The role we currently have an exciting opportunity for a finance assistant to join our partnership affairs team located in Sydney on a full time basis. In this varied role, you will be providing assisting the team with their correspondence, financial reports and administrative duties. Key stakeholders that you will engage with include partners, the Senior Leadership Team, and members of the Finance team. As a Finance Assistant, you will prepare cash flow statements and tax estimations for partners, maintain review information for partners and consultants, respond to queries from partners, provide assistance on duties relating to partnership distributions including maintaining and updating partner data in Excel, Workday (HRM), and Aderant (Practice Management software), the preparation of year end reconciliations and tax memos, the preparation and payment of monthly draw and ad-hoc catch-up draws, set up partner packages / trustee companies / trust deeds / superannuation funds. Perform general financial administrative duties including providing information and analysis to members of the finance team on a monthly basis on current units, movements, FIP salaries and FTEs, the calculation of stamp duty, assist the Community Connect team with their general finance responsibilities. Skills & Experience to be successful in this role, you will have recent tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance / Business studies, excellent organisational and time management skills with great attention to detail, an analytical mind with a good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices, a friendly, positive and can-do attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite especially with Excel and Access, experience with Workday and Aderant (highly desirable), an interest in Business Intelligence, in addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter.
