Finance Assistant DTMF Group location Melbourne.

The position finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. You will be working on the day-to-day aspects of DTMF Group accounting operations including accounts payable, client budget management, bank reconciliations, payroll, and month-end accounting. This role will also be involved in a wide variety of projects around automation and transformation.

We need someone who has worked in a fast-paced business before, is a forward thinker and enjoys data entry. Your proactive approach will see you involved in a range of duties. Reporting to our Finance Manager and working closely with our Head of Contracts, you will be part of the Finance & Operations team.

The main tasks of this position include data entry in Myob and our operations CRM system. Roster management in Excel, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Client Invoicing, Debt Collection, Inter-company reconciliations, Approve & Process fortnightly payroll into myob and time-sheet processing, Credit Card Reconciliations, Assistance with preparing quotes and setting up Jobcards in our Job management system, Employee & Supplier File setups.

Client File setups & variations, Assist with preparing monthly client reports, Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, Assist with prepare monthly financial reports, Reviewing and processing employee expense claims and credit card statements, Adhoc duties supporting the wider finance & Operations team, Assist Finance Manager to prepare internal finance reports.

About you to be successful, you have a proven track record in a similar role and will be available to start as soon as possible or by October 2022. Whilst you must possess a love for numerical accuracy and compliance, we also need you to be skilled in looking beyond the numbers for operational efficiencies and key drivers to leverage success within our managed sites.

Essential strong attention to detail a person who has the right cultural fit. A “can do” proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to learn and understand the business. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in developing and implementing system and process improvements within tight time frames.

Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to think independently with strong critical decision-making abilities. Be a confident Excel user. Excellent communicator with a good telephone manner. Able to work to deadlines. Ideally 3 years of accounts experience. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Must be eligible to work in Australia.
