Finance and Administration Support Cassidy Construction Ltd location Auckland.

Located in the vibrant Kingsland, we are a secure, mid-tier, NZ owned commercial and industrial construction company. Our modern office space is home to a team of great construction professionals, including a tight-knit finance and administration team who work diligently to manage a high volume of work, as well as cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, from project inception to completion.

The role our pipeline of work means we are looking for a Finance & Admin Support to assist our Company Accountant and Admin team by providing high-quality accounting services that support the delivery of accurate, timely and reliable financial information. As part of a small team, everyone collaborates across various areas as required. This position is therefore ideal for an individual who appreciates variety and who is willing to contribute wherever necessary.

Duties include accounts Payable including troubleshooting and reconciling creditor accounts. Monitoring and undertaking financial administration and transactions. Processing and co-ordination of payroll and IRD filing of returns. Assisting in the filing and completion of the company’s tax returns. Monthly and year end reconciliations. Assisting the Accountant with budgets, cashflow and ad-hoc reports. Supporting the Accountant with any exciting ad-hoc projects. Occasional reception duties.

To be successful in this role you will have qualification in accounting, finance or equivalent. Proven experience, knowledge and understanding of financial systems (CAT, Xero, and/or Elmo would be an advantage). A knowledge of tax information, specifically GST, FBT & PAYE.

Knowledge of employment legislation. Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines. A can-do attitude with a willingness to work across a variety of tasks.
