File Management Support Officer New Zealand Police location Bay of Plenty.

About the role file Management Centres (FMC) provide an integral service within The New Zealand Police. We assist our frontline staff and provide key services to victims and partner agencies.

We are looking for engaged and motivated individuals for the role of a File Management Support Officer. This is someone who is a team player, is capable of working in a fast-paced environment and can provide operational and administrative support to Police.

This role provides lots of variety, and every day is different. In any one day you may be involved in preparing a file for court, or entering, updating or processing information from Police officers, victims or partner agencies.

This is a busy role which will require you to continuously prioritise workflows and apply sound judgement and decision making. You will be communicating with key stakeholders including victims, informants, officers, and partner agencies across various channels including face to face, email, and phone.

Key accountabilities support our colleagues across every function and level of Police. Engage positively with all stakeholders. Work well in a team environment, able to ask questions and take direction. Flexible and able to perform under pressure while managing changing priorities.

Strong computer literacy skills. Competent typing and navigating a computer. Timely and accurate processing of administrative and operational tasks. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good work ethic means you can be relied on to remain on task. Excellent attention to detail.

Shift work details our locations require shift work but do not have night shifts. Three early shifts, three late shifts and 3 days off. Shifts operate between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm. The Rotoura location offers an onsite gym.

The Wellington location offers an onsite gym and café and is centrally located in the CBD within a 10 minute walk to the train station and other transport links.
