Factory Worker and Machine Operator Rollforming Services location Auckland. Salary $18.90 per hour.

We are a locally owned Steel Manufacturing Company specialising in Structural steel products and have very sound and long standing customer relationships across a variety of industries. We have one opening in our production team for a machine setter/operator. This is an entry level position, mechanical engineering Level 1 & 2 qualifications would be an advantage – training will be given on site.  We are also a supportive and friendly working environment.

About the role day Shift, Full time 40 hr week, East Tamaki location, Small close-knit team environment, Pay $18.90 per hour. Run and set roll forming industry machinery and equipment. Complete job sheets and quality check sheets for each job produced. Fault finding and adjusting machines. Follow quality and operating procedures. Packing and dispatch duties. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts. Other ad hoc duties as requested. Continuous on job support and training provided.

Skills and experience Secondary School Maths (Essential), English and basic computer skills. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to produce high quality products and work to deadlines. High attention to detail, accuracy and numerical ability. A sound work ethic, be punctual and reliable. Ability to work well within a team with minimal supervision.

A willingness to learn is required as successful candidates will be given the opportunity to extend their skills by learning how to operate and use various machinery. Full car licence (Essential) with ability to drive a manual vehicle (with F endorsement, allows you to operate forklifts on a public road) would be an advantage.
