Our client is a global leader in battery-stored energy solutions and a leading provider of products and services to the power and telecommunications sectors. Hours of work for this position are 6:30am till 3:00pm - Monday to Friday. They currently have an urgent requirement at there Somerton Facility for a Battery Builder/Assembler to join there team.

Roles and responsibilities assemble products by following the provided bill of materials to ensure all batteries and chargers are built to meet customer expectations and to EnerSys quality standards. Work as part of the team to meet daily output requirements and exceed customer DIFOT expectations. Inventory control and stock rotation under FIFO principles. Ensure all QC policies and procedures are followed before order dispatch including battery OCV, labelling and documentation to meet internal and external customer expectations. Correct use of the production module which allocates orders by priority ensuring all paperwork is collected and the work orders are attached to the product for identification.

Assist in identifying Non-Conforming Product (NCP) and ensuring it is moved to a quarantined area when identified and cannot be misused in production. Follow battery maintenance programs set by Production Supervisor or Management to ensure all battery products are kept at a high state of charge to prolong battery shelf life. Shall adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures including identification and removal of all possible hazards while enforcing safe work practices.

Building Kanban inventory as cards are put into trays and stock needs replenishment. Take part in various projects or initiatives as assigned by management including continuous improvement programs. Assisting in stocktakes including investigating causes for inaccurate stock levels. General Housekeeping ensuring that warehouse areas are kept clean and stock is put away.
