Factory Hand Briggs Veneers Pty Ltd location Sydney.

We are a well-respected and long-established family owned Australian manufacturer of timber veneer in business for over 100 years and currently have a vacancy a Factory hand at our Wetherill Park facility. This role would be suitable for someone looking to enter the Timber Industry with a great attitude to work and who possesses a sound and common-sense practical aptitude. Roles are full time currently Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.00 pm and Friday 6.30 am to 12.30 pm but may vary.

Key responsibilities assist with selection of veneer for sale or further manufacture. Assist with processing of raw timber veneer into sheets. Learn the use of manufacturing machinery and other plant and equipment. Help with stock control and picking and packing. General factory duties such as cleaning and maintenance.

Skills required a team player with a great attitude with practical skills and have a good eye for detail and pride in workmanship, Reliable and dependable. Good communication skills, Motivated and willing to learn. Physically fit to be able to manually lift and move product. Reasonable level of basic computer skills.

Reporting to the Factory Manager this role would be perfect for a pro-active person looking for an exciting and challenging position in a well-established, rewarding and successful business. There is plenty of scope to learn many aspects of the business and progress through company. We offer onsite parking and are located in close proximity to the geographical center of Sydney.
