About the role a key executive support function in the Media and Corporate Communications Department (MCCD) at Victoria Police. Reporting directly to the Staff Officer MCCD and responsible for providing high-level executive support to the Executive Director MCCD and assistance to other senior managers and the Business and Project Support Unit when required. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and support flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include provision of high-quality executive and administrative support services, including diary/calendar management, MCCD secretariat functions, monitor/coordinate telephone calls, and meeting coordination.

Correspondence management, prioritising tasks, monitoring workflows, operating effectively as a member in a team environment. Liaison with senior management, internal and external stakeholders and other government departments. Preparation of correspondence and handling enquiries on behalf of senior management. Assistance with MCCD project work as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have experience in providing high level confidential secretarial services, the ability to coordinate tasks, determine priorities, monitor workflows and effectively operate as a member of a team in a pressured environment.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral, and proven ability to liaise and communicate effectively and tactfully and to obtain co-operation from management, staff at all levels and various stakeholders.

Requirements and relevant information the position is part-time, two days per week working Thursday and Friday. Position location is Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
